Northwest Kansas Ambulance Service (NWKAS) is accepting applications for full and part-time paramedics, AEMTs and EMTs.  Our department is expanding and we will be adding up to four (4) full-time positions plus one (1) part-time and prn positions.  NWKAS is a department of Sherman County in Northwest Kansas.  It offers a competitive wage commensurate with experience, great benefit package, and liberal protocols.  Employees are required to take up to 3 days of call per month making it necessary for employees to be residents of Sherman County and preferably within the city of Goodland within 6 months of hire.

Minimum requirements include:  Valid State of Kansas AND National Registry certifications at current level, ability to obtain State of Colorado certification within 6 months of employment, Valid CPR, ACLS and PALS or equivalent must be obtained within 3 months of employment for advanced certification levels, Valid driver’s license with no Hx of DUI or suspension in past 5 years or more than 3 moving violations in past 18 months.   New applicants will be required to pass pre-employment testing including written, practical and physical evaluations.  Pre-employment testing date scheduled for Wednesday July 19th, starting at 0900 hours (MDT). Interviews scheduled for Tuesday, July 25th.  Positions will remain open until filled.
